Pocket Points: Student Rewards App Reviews

I love using the app and try to remember to always turn it on when Im in class. I have redeemed my points at Chickfila several times! :) my only complaint is that sometimes the app tells me I am earning points, but after class I find out that the app has actually not been tracking my time in class which results in 0 points.

Popular app among University of Missouri students! Local businesses love it and I love it too! Although specials run out early for certain businesses every week, it works great!

Cool app with rewards I can use. Too bad it never knows that Im in class. Ive been reporting these errors within the app for at least a month now and nothing happens. Im sitting in university buildings connected to university Wifi - why is it so hard to guess that Im in class?

I am a student at CSU Stanislaus. In the beginning when the app first came out, my school was on here but for some reason when I open the app my school doesnt pop up even when I am on campus.

So basically this sounds like a great idea. You have your phone off and you get discounts! Except that you have to have the app open the entire time while your phone is locked, using gps to monitor your location, while on wifi. So then when class is done you don’t have any battery left to use your phone!

It would be great to be able to close the app and still have it run so I dont have to drain the battery constantly

When I unlock the phone after running the app, it often freezes on the "searching" page and I lose the points I had coming. This usually happens after longer periods (1-2 hours), which is especially frustrating because of the significant number of points lost. Please fix this.

I got this app as a recommendation from my brother whos also in college, but they didnt have my school! I was so excited! Please add more universities ☹️

My friend told me about this app in art class. My school isnt in here :( and I dont know how to use it because cant even explore the app because of that! I would rate more if I could see how to use it, but I cant!

Dont listen to the reviews and waste a year not collecting points. It is a great app and is awesome for rewarding students for staying off their phones. Needs a little work. Still a few bugs but over all good app.

Used this app for over a year and it was great. I shut my phone off during class and got the points. Now, the app cant locate when Im in class. The bigger issue is that most of the places on campus that I used pocket points on, have been REMOVED. What would I even do with the app if I cant even use it on food on campus? Useless.

I had so many issues with this app. Its not even worth it.

Ive never redeemed the points on this app yet, but I am not sure I will be able to. The only time it loads and works correctly is when I am in class to get the points. If I am anywhere else, app doesnt load at all, and sits at a black screen. Fix this please!
